Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahjar Story

Since its formation in 2006, Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar has been instrumental in protecting invaluable historical and natural sites, ensuring their preservation for generations to come. Our achievements include the conservation of the Tal-Papa farm, a haven of biodiversity dating back to the 16th century, and the safeguarding of architectural landmarks like St. John’s Co-Cathedral, along with numerous villas and palaces that are a testament to Malta’s rich heritage. Our advocacy has also preserved the natural landscapes and green spaces of our islands, from the hillsides of Ramla l-Ħamra to the serene environs of Qala Valley.

FAA’s commitment extends to the protection and proliferation of trees, advocating against unnecessary removal and promoting greenery in urban settings. We’ve been a crucial force in protecting green landmarks, such as the tree-lined waterfront of Senglea and the lush canopy at Salina, demonstrating our dedication to environmental preservation.

Our outreach programs aim to deepen public appreciation for Malta’s heritage through educational walks, talks, and collaborations with educational institutions. Additionally, Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar is developing a heritage website to illuminate the rich tapestry of Maltese history and culture, aiming to inspire both residents and tourists.
